Animal city

Under the impact of contemporary urban expansion, the living space of animals is decreasing year by year. However, most animals whose habitats are threatened have rapidly evolved, adapted to the life of the urban jungle, and found ways to survive in this environment. It is their displayed vitality that made me realize that life force itself is the source of hope. This phenomenon has sparked my thinking about humans themselves. As part of nature and their urban neighbors, we have a common origin and close connection with animals. In the short film ANIMAL CITY, I use characters with human heads and animal bodies and human figures wearing bird masks to show the common origin and symbiotic relationship between humans and animals. The mask blurs the boundaries of visual perception, creating infinite possibilities for this symbiotic image. The process of symbiotic evolution ignites the spark of hope, stimulating the inherent life force and hope to transform the world.
