A Way To Arrive There
'A way to arrive there' takes the form of world-building: interconnected characters, environments and narratives that become playable games. It centres on the search for an inner sense of belonging. The in-game figures are drawn from images I have extracted from my own memories. Players find themselves in a indeterminate transit zone, taking on the role of a mysterious figure with no fixed background. From a bedroom to a departure lounge, they meet a range of characters, converse with their subconscious, and either follow the story line or linger in the feeling of being lost. The game brings a ritual-like experience, guide them to explore their inner myths and self-awareness. The project already has a working prototype that runs smoothly after initial testing.
